I am a self taught seamstress and one woman show, and I pride myself on creating attractive and functional accessories for everyday use, all out of my home studio based in Shelby, NC.

 

The cork I create with is harvested in Spain. It is the bark of the Quercus Suber tree and is shaved every 9 -12 years. The tree remains unharmed during harvesting, and continues to produce cork for its lifetime, which can be up to 200 years. Read more on cork and how it's harvested on the FAQ page.

A main goal of mine is to patronize other sustainable small businesses in the US that practice fair trade guidelines and pay livable wages. Super plus if they are run by women  and/or employ those of us who are less fortunate and need a leg up.

 

I believe in giving back to better the world around us.
